Frequently asked questions
If yours is not here, email us and we will answer it.
What does the monitoring actually do?
We request your site on a schedule, the same way a visitor's browser would. If it does not answer properly we treat that as downtime and email you. When it answers normally again, we email to confirm it has recovered.
How often do you check?
Roughly every five minutes, without pause. Network conditions can shift the interval slightly, so treat five minutes as the normal rhythm rather than a precise guarantee.
What happens when my site goes offline?
Once a check fails and we have confirmed it, a downtime email goes to your registered address. The incident is opened in your history with the time it started.
Do I hear when it comes back?
Yes. A recovery email goes out as soon as your site answers normally again, and the incident is closed with its total length.
Do you keep an eye on SSL certificates?
Yes. We track the expiry date and warn you before it passes, so you can renew before visitors meet a browser warning.
How do the plans differ?
In two ways only: how many sites are covered (one or two) and how long the prepaid period lasts (one, three, six or twelve months). The monitoring is identical across all of them.
Will it renew automatically?
No. Each plan is a single payment for a fixed period. Nothing renews by itself, no card is kept for future charges, and there is no subscription to cancel.
Can I watch two sites?
Yes. Take a two-site plan and you can set up two separate addresses, each checked on its own with its own alerts and history.
Can I swap which site is watched?
Yes. Change the address from your dashboard at any point in your prepaid period, and checks carry on against the new one.
Is there a trial?
No, we do not offer one. The one-month plan is the cheapest way to try the service, and the voluntary refund window in our Refund Policy applies to it.
What happens when my period runs out?
Checks stop and alerts are no longer sent. Your account stays open and you can buy another period whenever you like. Nothing is charged automatically.
How do refunds work?
There is a voluntary refund window of three days on the one-month plan and seven days on the three, six and twelve-month plans. These sit on top of your statutory rights rather than replacing them. The Refund Policy has the detail.
When do I add my site?
After paying. You get an email with a secure link to set your password, then you add the address in the dashboard. We deliberately do not ask for it at checkout.
Which payment methods will you take?
We are preparing card payments via Stripe and payments via PayPal. Neither is live yet — this site currently runs in development mode and cannot take real payments.
